Reliability: Medium · Last checked: 2026-08-06
Where the shower rooms and Refresh Rooms (T1/T2) are and what they cost, plus NODOKA and Nine Hours, where you can shower 24 hours, and which to use when.
Shower Rooms and Refresh Rooms Run by the Airport
- Terminal 1, Central Building, 2F (before security): Shower room. 7:00–20:00 (last entry 19:30). ¥1,500 for the first 30 minutes, then ¥750 per 15 minutes
- Terminal 1, Central Building, 3F (after security, international): Refresh Room. 7:00–21:00 (last entry: showers 20:30, nap rooms 20:00). Showers ¥1,500 for the first 30 minutes; nap rooms ¥3,000 (single) or ¥5,000 (twin) for the first 60 minutes
- Terminal 2, Satellite, 3F (after security, international): Refresh Room. 7:00–21:30 (last entry: showers 21:00, nap rooms 20:30). Same prices as Terminal 1
Showers cannot be reserved and are first come, first served on the day, so you may have to wait when it is busy. Nap rooms can be reserved, but only passengers who have cleared departure formalities and transit passengers can use them. 2-in-1 shampoo, body soap, a bath towel, a face towel and a hair dryer are included in the price, so you do not need to bring anything.
Showering Late at Night or Early in the Morning
All three places above close by 21:30 at the latest. Late at night you can shower at these two places in Terminal 2:
- Airport Cafe NODOKA (Terminal 2, Main Building, 2F, before security): A café and rest facility open 24 hours, with separate shower rooms for men and women. It also has reclining seats, mat seating and a grass area, so you can shower and nap in one place. Charged by time
- Nine Hours Narita Airport (B1F of Parking Building 2, directly connected to Terminal 2): 24-hour reception. Shower only: ¥1,000 for up to 1 hour; day use (nap): ¥1,500 for the first hour (then ¥500 per hour). Overnight stays are also available
Terminals 1 and 3 have no showers you can use late at night, so if you are waiting through the night you will need to go to Terminal 2.
Which to Choose
- Before security, daytime → the shower room on 2F of the Terminal 1 Central Building
- After passport control or in transit → the Refresh Rooms in Terminals 1 and 2
- Late night or early morning → NODOKA or Nine Hours (both in Terminal 2)
- For a proper sleep → day use or an overnight stay at Nine Hours
Points to Note
- Prices, hours and last entry times may change. Check the official website for the latest information
- The number of rooms is not officially published, so it is hard to predict waiting times. Leave plenty of time
