Narita Airport Currency Exchange, ATMs and Getting Cash

Reliability: Medium · Last checked: 2026-08-01

Where you can exchange currency and withdraw cash at Narita Airport, by terminal and before or after security.

In short

Narita Airport's currency exchange counters and ATMs are concentrated before security. After security there are very few places in Terminals 1 and 2, and in Terminal 3 only an automatic currency exchange machine and a Seven Bank ATM. The sure option is to exchange money and withdraw cash before you go through security.

The official list does not give opening hours for each place. If you plan to use one early in the morning or late at night, check individually on the official map or with each company.

Who this is for

  • People who want to get foreign currency before leaving Japan, or deal with leftover foreign currency after returning
  • People who may end up looking for an exchange counter or ATM after security
  • People departing from Terminal 3 (LCC)
