Narita Airport with Kids: A Practical Guide
Reliability: Medium · Last checked: 2026-07-28
Where the free Kids Parks are, and facilities that help when travelling with children, such as nursing rooms and strollers.
Places for Kids to Play
- Free Kids Park (Terminal 1): After security, on 2F in the domestic area and on 3F in the international area. On 5F of the Central Building (before security) are the paid Kinder Platz (10:00–19:00) and Baby Play Space, so do not mix them up.
- Kids Park (Terminal 2, 4F and other places): A free indoor play space on 4F of the Main Building. It is in front of the North Observation Deck, so children can watch the planes and then play.
Neither is a childcare facility, so an adult must stay with the child.
Useful Facilities
- Nursing rooms and baby care rooms: On each floor of every terminal. Check the floor map for locations.
- Stroller rental: A rental service is available inside the terminals (check the location and conditions).
- Accessible restrooms: Ones with baby changing seats on every floor.
Tips for Spending Time
- The observation decks (Terminals 1 and 2) are popular with children who love planes.
- Terminal 3 is for LCCs only and its facilities are compact. For a long wait with children, Terminals 1 and 2 are more comfortable.
Points to Note
- Facility hours and locations may change. Check the official website for the latest information.
