New Chitose Airport Nursing Room Guide
Reliability: Medium · Last checked: 2026-09-24
Where New Chitose Airport's nursing rooms are and how many there are, by domestic and international terminal and by before or after security.
In short
Counting the symbols on the official floor guide, New Chitose has 15 nursing rooms: 8 in the domestic terminal, 1 in the Connecting Facility and 6 in the international terminal. Anyone can use them for free, and they have baby beds and facilities for preparing formula and washing hands (the official guide says "except some nursing rooms" without saying which). The domestic terminal has 5 after security, on both the ANA side and the JAL side, so you can find one near your gate. The international terminal has 3 after passport control, and the 1 in the 2F baggage claim area can only be entered by people arriving on international flights.
Who this is for
- People departing from or arriving at New Chitose with a baby
- People deciding whether to feed or change their baby before or after security
- People connecting between domestic and international flights, and people staying in the public area to see someone off or meet them
Domestic Terminal
Before security (3 rooms)
- 2F departures lobby: 1 each next to Departures Entrance B and next to Departures Entrance D
- 3F Gourmet World: 1 next to the restrooms on the Hokkaido Ramen Dojo side. You can stop by before or after a meal
After security (5 rooms): In the 2F departure gate area near Gates 6, 8, 15 and 17, and in the passage to Gates 101 and 102. They are on both the ANA side (around Gates 1–8) and the JAL side (around Gates 11–19).
Connecting Facility (the building linking the domestic and international terminals)
2F (1 room, before security): About halfway along the passage, next to the 1F–2F elevator. Steiff Discovery Walk, which has a kids' corner, is on the same 2F, so you can stop by while waiting for a connection. 3F of the Connecting Facility is closed for construction for a period, so use 2F to move between terminals.
International Terminal
Departures (3F)
- Departures lobby (before security): 1 next to the restrooms on the Departure Counter A side
- Departure gate area (after passport control): 3, near Gate 69, near Gate 66, and beside Hokkaido Market Dining Street (next to the changing room)
Arrivals (2F)
- Arrivals lobby (the side you come out to from the arrivals exit): 1 next to the changing room. People meeting arrivals can use it too
- Baggage claim area (after immigration and before customs): 1. Only people arriving on international flights can enter
Notes
- The number and locations of rooms are read from the symbols on the official floor guide (as of September 17, 2026). Which gates they are near is also read from the drawings, and for Domestic 2F the count differs by 1 from the web floor map. Also check the signs in the terminal
- There is no official information on hours of use. This article assumes rooms in the public area can be used while the terminal is open (domestic terminal and Connecting Facility 5:00–23:30, international terminal 5:00–21:00), and rooms in the departure gate areas from when you pass security (passport control) until boarding
- Crowding is not shown in real time. From some gates the nearest nursing room is a fair walk away, so allow plenty of time
- Locations and numbers may change because of renovations. Also check the official information before you go
